  Fool me once, shame on you. I am glad I didn't try to jump through all of those hoops before checking out this thread again.

  Sorry I thought there would be a lot more participation on the thread (which would have made it a lot more fun) It is really a great hoax. I love how people in the comments on youtube talk about how it worked for them, helping the myth continue even that much further. BTW his other vids are really worth watching. Some of the funniest on you tube imo

  .....that it simply wasn't the truth?.

  i never really felt spiritual as a jw.

  i knew that i should feel like a spiritual person, but couldn't work out why i never did.. .

  For a good, looooong time

  I got so far behind on reading hte magazines I didn't know if I could ever catch up. Mix that with believing that I wasn't studying enough and didn't have the "pioneer spirit".
  
  Amazing how you can be going to four activities a week (3 meetings & field service) for this religion and still think you are not doing enough.

  Regional Building Committee decisions boggles even a dubs mind...

  so i'm talking to someone from my old hall and he tells me that there are some disgruntled jws (including elders) who feel like some bad decisions are being made by the rbc.. for instance, one hall needed a new roof.

  an elder, in the construction business, made a deal with a local non-jw roofer that if the brothers cleared off the old shingles, the roofer would come in with his crew and do the new roof for x amount of dollars.

  the rbc elder in charge got wind of that arrangement and nixed the deal.

  I asked the elders why they were allowing the RBC to run roughshod over them, since the hall was supposedly owned by our neighbouring congregation, and all the money donated by the publishers™ without any loans from the watchtower. They had no answer for me, but I think my outspokenness about this was part of the reason for my eventual deletion from that position. (the official reason for my deletion, as spoken to me, was that I was taking part time courses)
